Fox and Geese Game (standard)

This game is a great game for an adult to play with a kid. Like in nature, the fox is naturally more capable than the geese, and only through great skill can the geese win.

The fox and geese game originated in Scandinavia and was in its current form by the 15th century. Popularity in Britain was high even then, with the first recorded instance of the game being purchased was by King Edward IV in the 1460s. By the 1700s, it was a common pub feature, and at that time, it inspired the invention of the solitaire board game. 

This board is 9 inches in diameter; this is so it can be made from a single piece of solid, real, wood. It is available in many wood types and finishes. Requests to customize for wood type, finish, or hand carving are possible with an email or phone call. Cost and schedule will be factors in these changes. 

Clay marbles are sold separately. The fox and goose game requires up to 17 marbles to represent the geese, and one to represent the fox. 32 marbles are required to play solitaire.
