Westinghouse 16"-6 Brass Blade Oscillating Antique Fan

~ RARE FIND ~ Circa 1917 Style 177109G

$1285.00

Antique oscillating Westinghouse table fan suitable for supervised indoor use. This model was made in 1917. As a fan with six brass blades, measuring 16" in diameter, it is truly a rare find. We were fortunate enough to buy this fan with its twin, which will be listed separately. The "Style G" is famous for its Art Nouveau design and exceptional mechanical quality. It features 3 speeds with an analog/mechanical switch. The 6 high-quality brass wings overlap. The base and motor housing have the original "Japan Black" baked-on coating, with some minor imperfections from being 110 years old. The new braided cloth-covered power cord and plug measure 66". The green felt bottom has been replaced. The fan has been fully disassembled, rewired, mechanically restored, reassembled, greased, and oiled. All finishes are ORIGINAL. The brass blades were polished to a mirror finish and protected with a ceramic wax. The body has also been ceramic waxed. The cage/guard is heavy-gauge steel wire. The oscillation is mechanically gear-driven. This fan can last forever, with a restoration every 100 years. Made in the USA.

*This is a powerful fan. As it is with most vintage/antique fans, the cage surrounding the blades is NOT a safety feature. It is recommended to only operate antique fans with adult supervision.

*The cost of shipping has been included. We will ship using UPS with full insurance coverage. Due to the weight of antique fans it is cost effective to ship via UPS.

** ALL of our 16" fans will be shipped in two separate boxes. The brass blades and cage will be shipped with simple instructions to reassemble the fan properly.
