Westinghouse Debon-air 10" Blades Octagonal Cage Fan
1930s Art Deco Design-#699795 RARE
$1030.00
Westinghouse desktop oscillating 10" span four-blade fan with rare octagonal 12" cage diameter and stands 13" high. This beautiful fan was designed by Richard H. Jordan of Springfield, Massachusetts, Donald L. Hadley of Mansfield, Ohio, and Donald R. Doi-inee of Pittsburgh Pa as designers for the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company. The cord and plug have been replaced and measure 66 1/2" long. Fan has been disassembled, greased, oiled and reassembled. The original head-wire, from motor to base remains in great condition and was not replaced. The head tilt can be adjusted by the knob located at the top of the base. Oscillation can be disengaged with an upward pull of the knob on top of the gearbox. All finishes appear as they were originally, and are freshly lacquered to protect the finish. This fan is in top functioning condition and a work of art. Any antique fan enthusiast would be proud to have this beauty.
** This is a very powerful fan and as is with most vintage/antique fans the cage surrounding the blades is NOT a safety feature. It is recommended only to run vintage fans with adult supervision.
* The cost of shipping has been included. We will ship using UPS with full insurance coverage. Due to the weight of antique fans it is cost effective to ship via UPS.
